Who is asking the questions
Sohail Hasnie spent twenty-two years at the Asian Development Bank, latterly as Principal Energy Specialist. He led ADB projects from concept through approval to implementation worth more than US$2 billion across seventeen countries, and managed an average annual portfolio of around US$600 million as team leader.
They include a number of ADB firsts: its first solar project (Mongolia, 2001), its first energy efficiency project (Philippines, 2008), its first cross-border interconnection (Indonesia–Malaysia), the first public sector electric vehicle project anywhere (Philippines, US$500 million, 2012), and ADB's first energy project in Turkmenistan (2018, US$500 million). He now develops and finances clean energy and electric mobility projects across Australasia through Energypreneurs Advisory.
Which is the reason the show exists: the interview is how he stays current on markets that move faster than any research subscription can track.
